Truman State University’s Rho Rho chapter of Sigma Delta Pi recently presented on Andalucía and other parts of southern Spain. Presenters Christy Crouse, Marisa Thome, Angel García Rubio, and Dr. Carmen Perez Muñoz did a wonderful job concisely combining their knowledge on a large geographic region. Sigma Delta Pi vice-president Christy Crouse studied in Murcia, while member Marisa Thome also spent time in the region. Angel García Rubio is an exchange student from Murcia spending a semester at Truman through the ISEP exchange program. Dr. Carmen Perez Muñoz also contributed her knowledge as a native of Seville.
Like other presentations in this semester’s Spain series, the presentation effectively melded a fun perspective on the culture and history of the region and some of its major cities with a relevant explanation of opportunities to study abroad in the region, continuing Rho Rho chapter’s vision of fostering understanding and cultural exchange.
Special thanks to our presenters Angel Garcia Rubio, Christy Crouse, Dr. Carmen Perez-Muñoz, and Marisa Thome!
